Septic Maintenance Should Not Be Ignored Or Postponed

Septic Preservation Services are available to provide regular septic maintenance to septic system owners. The most important septic maintenance for a septic system is regular pumping. Septic tanks must be pumped regularly to ensure they operate correctly. If the septic tank is not pumped in a timely manner, solids will bypass the effluent tee or baffle and clog the soil absorption system. Unabated, this will eventually result in hydraulic failure (e.g., plumbing backup and wastewater breakout). As you can imagine septic backup and breakout is not a pleasant or cheap thing to fix. Therefore it is always advisable to have your septic system pumped before it gets to this critical point. The regularity of pumping depends on a variety of factors including the size of your septic tank and your water usage but it is generally recommended that a septic tank is pumped every 3-5 years. If you have a garbage disposal you will need to have your septic pumped annually. If you are unsure if your tank needs to be pumped please contact us and we may be able to help. Today we have septic pump outs scheduled in Sutton, Oxford, Uxbridge, Upton, Grafton, Spencer and East Brookfield MA. If you have questions about septic pumping, septic maintenance or if you need to schedule a septic pump out please do contact our Norton Office on 877 378 4279 or visit Septic Preservation Services where we will be happy to help you.

Title 5 Inspections Taking Place In Massachusetts

Septic Preservation Services know that in winter when it snows or the weather turns icy sometimes the Title 5 Inspections that we have scheduled may not take place. Whether our inspector or customer can not get to the location of the inspection or the septic system is not accessible or for another reason there is no need for property owners to panic when they need the inspection for a property sale. Massachusetts Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs know that we live in a state where the weather can, and regularly does, effect plans. Therefore it is stated on the Mass Gov Website::

“If weather conditions prevent an inspection before a sale, Title 5 allows the inspection to be done up to 6 months afterwards, provided that the seller notifies the buyer in writing of the need to complete the inspection.” For more information see:

We have Title 5 Inspections scheduled today in Northborough, Upton, Hudson, Holliston, Uxbridge, Sutton and Oxford MA. If for any reason the septic inspection can not take place we will always endeavour to reschedule the inspection as quickly as possible at a time that is convenient. If you have any questions or wish to schedule a septic inspection please do contact our Norton Office on 877-378-4279 or visit Septic Preservation Services

Septic Repairs Including a Sewage Grinder Pump Repair

Septic Preservation Services have septic repairs including a sewage grinder pump repair today in Sturbridge, Oxford, Brimfield, Brookfield, Dudley, Uxbridge and Millbury MA. As with all parts of your septic system your sewage grinder pump is an essential part of your septic system. Waste from water-using household appliances (toilets, bathtubs, washing machines, etc.) flows through your home’s pipes into the grinder pump’s holding tank. Once the wastewater inside the tank reaches a specific level, the pump will turn on, grind the waste into a fine slurry and pump it to the central sewer system or septic tank. A sewage grinder pump does what the name suggests and is not something that you want to leave inoperative because more serious breakdowns and larger repairs may then be necessary. If you require a septic repair for any part of your septic system including the septic tank, leach field or drain field, distribution box or septic pump or if you have concerns about your septic system please do contact our Norton office on 877 378 4279 or visit Septic Preservation Services where we will be happy to answer any questions you have and book an appointment if necessary.

When Should You Have Your Septic System Pumped?

Septic Preservation Services are always available for property owners who need advice about their septic system. If you own a septic system it is important that it is properly maintained. The most important septic system maintenance is having your septic system pumped. How often you need to pump the solids out of your septic tank depends on factors including:

  • the number of people in your household;
  • the amount of wastewater generated (based on the number of people in the household and the amount of water used); and,
  • the volume of solids in the wastewater (e.g., using a garbage disposal will increase the amount of solids).
  • the size of your septic tank

Generally you should have your septic system pumped every 3-5 years but the above factors can dramatically change this. For example is you have, and use, a garbage disposal your system will need to be pumped annually. Today we have septic pumping scheduled in East Brookfield, Spencer, Ware, Oxford, Sturbridge and Brimfield MA. If you need a septic pump out or if you have questions about you septic system please do contact our Norton office on 877-378-4279 or visit https://www.septicpreservation.com

Septic System Services On Systems Including Singular, FAST and Sand Filter

Septic Preservation Services has been working in this region on septic systems for over 20 years. During this time we have worked with many different types of septic system and therefore gained knowledge and experience working on systems such as Singulair, FAST, Sand Filter, Jet System, Fuji Clean and many others. All septic systems are designed specifically for their own site and have variances which make them unique but most systems are based on the same principles. A conventional septic system consists of a septic tank, a distribution box and a drainfield. Your septic system treats your household wastewater by temporarily holding it in the septic tank where heavy solids and lighter scum are allowed to separate from the wastewater. The solids stored in the tank are decomposed by bacteria and later pumped out. After partially treated wastewater leaves the tank, it flows into a distribution box, which separates this flow evenly into a network of drainfield trenches. Drainage holes at the bottom of each line allow the wastewater to drain into gravel trenches for temporary storage. This effluent then slowly seeps into the subsurface soil where it is further treated and purified. Like anything in your home your septic system must be maintained to ensure it keeps working correctly. If you do not want the worry of looking after your system or have a business and a septic failure would mean lost revenue it may be worth considering a septic service plan. We service many types of septic systems for our customers on quarterly, biannual or annual basis depending on their system and the amount of use it gets. Today we have septic services including Singulair Services and FAST Services scheduled in Bellingham, Blackstone, Wrentham, Franklin, Oxford and Upton MA. If you would be interested in a septic service or you have questions about your septic system or septic services specifically please do contact our Norton office on 877-378-4279 or visit https://www.septicpreservation.com
