Do You Need a Title 5 Inspection by Septic Preservation Services?

Septic Preservation Services Septic Preservation Services have Title 5 Septic Inspections scheduled today for customers in Acushnet, Attleboro, Berkley, Dighton, Norton, Seekonk, and Rehoboth, MA.  One of these Title 5 Inspections is for a newer home that was built within the last 4 years.  Newly constructed homes do not need to have a Title 5 Inspection carried out.  The Certificate of Compliance issued upon completion of a new system or system upgrade by the Board of Health, or MassDEP for state and federal facilities and large systems, excludes the system from inspection requirements for any transfer of title within the next two years.  However once that initial 2 year period is completed, a Title 5 Inspection will need to be done before title transfer.  Therefore, this home is having its first Title 5 Inspection prior to sale.  If you need to schedule a Title 5 Inspection or have any questions regards septic inspections please do contact our office at 877-378-4279 or visit www.septicpreservation.com

Title 5 Inspections by Septic Preservation Services

Septic Preservation Services Septic Preservation Services has Title 5 Septic Inspections scheduled today in Rehoboth, Seekonk, Swansea, New Bedford, Fairhaven, Westport, Marion, and Freetown, MA.  If you are selling a property and you need to have a Title 5 Inspection to be carried out because your property has a septic system, you may be concerned about the impact of the inspection on your property.  In actuality there is not often the need for extensive excavation.  As specified on the Massachusetts Official Website of the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs

“The location and condition of cesspools, septic tanks and distribution boxes must be determined.  Often, this will not require extensive excavation.  Generally, leaching areas are not required to be dug up.”

With the use of plans and reading the landscape, our technicians are usually able to locate septic tanks and the distribution box with minimal digging, and once they have taken the required information they can leave the area as they found it.
If you need to schedule a Title 5 Septic Inspection or if you have any questions about the process please do contact our office at 877-378-4279 or visit www.septicpreservation.com
