We schedule quarterly, biannual or annual appointments with our customers who are on our preventative maintenance plans so we can monitor and maintain their septic systems. Septic Repairs To Correct Large and Small Septic Problems

Septic Preservation Services have the equipment for large and small septic repairs on residential and commercial septic systems which sometimes require excavation if the components are not easily accessible without. However if we do need to excavate to carry out a septic repair we will always ensure that we do the work safely and to all required standards. This includes contacting Dig Safe, a nonprofit organization that will notify your utility company of our plans. Your utility company (s) will then mark its underground facilities so we can be sure to safely conduct your septic repairs.  We have extensive experience investigating the cause of a septic problem and then repairing your system in the most cost effective and efficient way possible while ensuring our work is environmentally conscious. We know that most property owners will not know the cause of their septic problem so we will initially assess the condition of your septic system and we will then be able to present you with a range of options designed to correct any identified issues. These may include one or more of the following:

  • Replacement of damaged or missing baffle
  • Installation of effluent filter and service riser
  • Installation of pumping access riser and cover
  • Installation of curtain drains
  • Replacement of deteriorated components
  • Repair or replacement of damaged components
  • Removal of accumulated solids in leach field piping
  • Removal of plant and tree roots in leach field piping
  • Installation and service of the White Knight™ Microbial Inoculator/Generator
  • Diversion of water softener/conditioner backwash discharges

Septic Services Are Extremely Cost Effective In The Long Term

Septic Preservation Services are extremely busy this month with septic services for our customers who want to ensure that their septic systems are in good working order before going into the winter season when it can be much harder to fix septic problems if a repair involves digging into frozen ground. When you have your septic system regularly serviced you are making the educated choice to stay ahead of your septic system maintenance and putting your trust in us so we can find any septic repairs before they become a problem or even prevent them from happening at all with effective preventative maintenance. It is much more cost effective to maintain your septic system rather than to run it and not maintain it until you have a large a costly septic problem that requires a septic repair to fix it, at best. Today we have septic services scheduled in Fall River, Westport, Swansea, Acushnet, Freetown and Mattapoisett MA. If you would be interested in hearing more about our preventative maintenance program or if you wish to schedule a septic service or if you have any questions about septic systems please do contact us at our Norton office on 877-378-4279 or visit Septic Preservation Services

Septic Pumping Is Essential Septic System Maintenance

Septic Preservation Services not only installs septic systems and repairs septic systems but also provides essential septic system maintenance – perhaps most importantly septic pumping. Septic Systems must be pumped periodically to remain operating correctly. Even if your system seems to be working correctly you do not want to wait it until it shows evidence of septic problems before you choose to pump your system. By then you could have a large septic problem which may require an expensive septic repair whereas staying on top of your septic pumping schedule will ensure that you are doing the most important part of maintaining your septic system. Septic systems do not need to be pumped that often, if fact if you pump too frequently you can harm your septic system by removing the beneficial bacteria that is required to process your waste. A properly maintained septic system should only be pumped every 2-5 years, as needed, to avoid removing the “good” bacteria and keep the system running smoothly. You only need to have your system pumped annually if you have a garbage disposal. Today we have septic pumping appointments in Norton, Attleboro, Rehoboth, Seekonk and Swansea MA. If it has been over three years since you had your septic tank pumped, give Septic Preservation Services call at our Norton office on 877 378 4279 for an evaluation and to set up quick and easy pumping arrangements.

Experienced With Sand Filter Services

Septic Preservation Services have Sand Filter Services scheduled for customers in Fall River, Westport, Marion, Acushnet, Freetown and Swansea MA today. The typical sand filter is a PVC-lined or concrete box filled with a specific sand material. A network of small diameter pipes is placed in a gravel-filled bed on top of the sand. The septic tank effluent is pumped under low pressure through the pipes in controlled doses to insure uniform distribution. We have experience doing services on these specific septic system filters so you can be confident that we will be professional, through and fast if you require your Sand Filter to be serviced. Please do contact our office to schedule your appointment or if you require any further information on 877-378-4279 or visit www.septicpreservation.com

Septic Repairs Are Often Required Because Poor Choices Are Made When ‘Flushing’

Septic Preservation Services would prefer to provide education to its customers, where possible, to prevent them from having to call us out for unnecessary septic repairs which could have been avoided if the property owner knew more about how to use their septic system. One of the main things that homeowners need to consider is what not to introduce to their septic system. Somethings seem clear – do not flush clothing, cat litter, toys, tools, diapers. These are all items that can clog your system which can possibly lead to a breakdown and will certainly result in your needing to have your system pumped more regularly than usual. However what may not seem as obvious are other items that should not be flushed either such as ‘flushable’ wipes, feminine hygiene products, fats, oils and grease. These are also items that can clog your system and fill it up too quickly. Also household cleaners, bleach, paint and some medications like acne lotions should not be introduced to your septic system because they can harm the biological activity that is essential for your septic system to operate correctly. We have septic repairs scheduled today, some of which could have been avoided following the above advice, in Fairhaven, Fall River, Westport, New Bedford, Seekonk and Swansea MA. If you require a septic repair or if you have any questions about your septic system please do contact us on 877-378-4279 or visit https://www.septicpreservation.com

Septic Inspections Often Lead To Referrals and Repeat Business

Septic Preservation Services have spent many years in this region providing septic services to property owners. Often the first contact we will have with a client is when they request a septic inspection because they are selling a property or sometimes buying a property with a septic system. This is because in Massachusetts a system inspection is required:

“Within 2 years before a sale. If weather conditions prevent inspection at the time of a sale, the inspection must take place within 6 months afterward.” For more information see https://www.mass.gov/guides/buying-or-selling-property-with-a-septic-system

Today we have septic inspections in Mattapoisett, Marion, New Bedford, Westport, Freetown, Fall River and Swansea MA. We provide thorough, professional and convenient inspections so much of our business comes from referrals or repeat business. Once we have performed a septic inspection we are then contacted by that customer or by people they have referred to us for septic services, septic repairs, septic improvements, septic upgrades, septic designs, septic installations, septic pumping or additional septic inspections. If you require a septic inspection or any other septic service or if you have any questions about your septic system please do contact our Norton office on 877-378-4279 or visit https://www.septicpreservation.com where we will be happy to help you.

Septic Systems Are Easily Maintained With Septic Services

Septic Preservation Services know that if you have never owned a property with a septic system the unknown can be a bit daunting. However a septic system or ‘on-site sewage system’ is a pretty simple and not an uncommon way for a property to process its own waste. A typical septic system consists of a septic tank and a drainfield. All water runs out of your house from one main drainage pipe into a septic tank which is a buried, water-tight container usually made of concrete, fiberglass, or polyethylene. Its job is to hold the wastewater long enough to allow solids to settle down to the bottom which forms a sludge, while the oil and grease floats to the top as scum. Compartments in the tank and a T-shaped outlet prevent the sludge and scum from leaving the tank and traveling into the drainfield area. The liquid wastewater, or effluent, then exits the tank into the drainfield. Finally the wastewater percolates into the soil, naturally removing harmful bacteria, viruses, and nutrients. Many homes in New England have their own septic system and they are not all way out in the countryside. As more and more property has been built it has not all been connected upto town sewer so many homes that are in towns and cities have their own septic systems. If you are unsure about septic system maintenance or just don’t want to have to worry about it a good solution may be a septic service plan. Septic services are an ideal way for property owners to be totally confident that their septic system maintenance is being done without have to concern themselves about it. We maintain, check and monitor the septic system and notify our customer if we find anything that may be a problem in the future which can prevent small septic problems becoming large and expensive septic failures. Today we have septic services scheduled in Freetown, Seekonk, Swansea, Marion, Westport, New Bedford and Fall River MA. If you wish to schedule a septic service or if you have any questions about septic services please do contact our Norton office on 877-378-4279 or visit https://www.septicpreservation.com
