Septic Preservation Services know that Maine has 3,478 miles of coastline which is more than California (3,427), and over 5,000 miles of coast if you include all of the islands as well. Only Florida and Louisiana (mostly bayou) have more miles of coastline. We take pride in the work that we do which helps keep Maine’s coastline beautiful and clean. We are the only statewide contractor on the OBD Service contractor list provided by the Maine Department of Environmental Protection. The DEP’s Overboard Discharge (OBD) Program is responsible for regulating discharges of sanitary and household wastewater generated at residential or commercial locations to streams, rivers, bays, and the ocean. We also provide septic services to Maine’s Island residents (there are 3,166 off-shore islands). Maine Islands that we have recently completed work on include Bailey Island, Orr’s Island, Peak’ Island and Westport Island. The Maine DEP’s Overboard Discharge (OBD) Program is responsible for regulating discharges of sanitary and household wastewater generated at residential or commercial locations to streams, rivers, bays, and the ocean. All OBDs must be approved by the DEP through a licensing process.
