SPS’s Jim Boucher gets wastewater treatment plant operators license in NH

Jim Boucher, our Northeast Sales and Services Manager completed the required exam and got his wastewater treatment plant operators license from the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NH DES). He is now qualified to operate a wastewater treatment facility in the State of New Hampshire. The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NH DES) administers the certification of wastewater treatment facility operators. In New Hampshire there are four levels of certification for wastewater treatment facility operators based on facility complexity and design flow, with Grade I lowest and Grade IV highest.

Aerobic wastewater treatment is a must for all Commercial septic systems

Commercial sites should utilize aerobic treatment to prolong septic system life. Dumping food waste into septic systems overloads them and creates serious issues. High strength waste will clog a leach field unless the wastewater is aerobically treated. When inspections were conducted, serious problems were found including excessive solids build up, odors and clogging of the leach field. Over time this will cause premature failure of the system unless aerobically treated to reduce the waste strength. Most states (including here in New England) have regulations that mandate using aerobic treatment systems, like our “best-in-class” White Knight MIG™ system as an effective solution to prevent these kinds of problems. This easy to install, proactive solution will ensure that you don’t experience costly septic system failures down the road.

White Knight demonstrates favorable aerobic wastewater treatment test results at MASSTC

White Knight aerobic treatment system shows favorable results at the Massachusetts Alternative Septic System Test Center (MASSTC). MASSTC tests a variety of aerobic treatment equipment and is currently conducting a test on four types of biological remediation of leach fields. As an aerobic treatment product the White Knight MIG treats the wastewater creating an oxygen rich environment which raises a bacterial culture in the septic tank and cultivates an extensive colony of these same soil bacteria. The result is nearly complete consumption of the organic materials entering the septic tank. At the same time, the bacteria are carried into the leach field where they consume the organic material that has accumulated in the underlying soil. The leach field regains and/or maintains is capacity to deliver effluent to the soil for purification. MASSTC is located in Sandwich, Massachusetts, on Kittredge Road at the Otis Air National Guard Base on the Massachusetts Military Reservation on Cape Cod.
