Avoid Septic Repairs This Thanksgiving By Not Pouring Grease, Oil and Fat Down Your Sink

Septic Preservation Services are all looking forward to Thanksgiving and the great food and time with our family and friends that goes alongside this holiday. We know our customers are also looking forward to Thanksgiving and food preparation is well underway for Thanksgiving Meals. We would like to remind our customers that it is not a good idea to put any type of cooking oil, fat or grease down the sink where it can enter your septic system. Whilst a well maintained septic system can cope with small amounts of fat, oil and grease, such as natural body oils that go into your septic system when you shower, if you regularly introduce cooking fats, oils and grease into your septic system it could result in a septic system failure if left. Just remember when you are making your beautifully juicy turkey dinner do not pour the fat, oil or grease down your sink. We have been conducting septic repairs in Yarmouth, Falmouth, Mashpee, Barnstable, Chatham, Sandwich and Bourne MA that could have been easily avoided with a little knowledge and preventative measures. If you have a question about your septic system or you need to schedule a septic repair please contact us on 877 378 4279 or visit Septic Preservation Services

Septic Preventative Maintenance For Cape Cod Properties

Septic Preservation Services hopes that the snow and winter are now behind us (although in New England we are never 100% confident in April!). This is a time when property owners with 2nd homes which they use to vacation in and for weekends are thinking about opening them up again and doing maintenance to have them ready for the season. We have many customers who have ‘vacation’ homes with septic systems, because they are not on town sewer, who choose to have a septic preventative maintenance service plan for their system so they don’t need to worry about its upkeep. We monitor, service and maintain their septic systems for them so they can be confident that their system is working correctly and any problems are caught early so they do not need to worry about septic issues occuring when they are not home to fix them quickly. A small septic problem, if left can become and large and expensive septic repair. Today we are servicing septic systems for customers on Cape Cod, some of these homes not being occupied all year round. We are servicing septic systems in Chatham, Eastham, Orleans, Brewster, Barnstable, Dennis and Yarmouth MA. If you would be interested in having your  system on a septic preventative maintenance contract so you do not need to concern yourself about your septic system maintenance please do contact us to make an appointment or answer any questions you have on 877-378-4279 or visit https://www.septicpreservation.com

Septic Pumping On Cape Cod Massachusetts

Septic Preservation Services not only repairs, services and inspects septic systems but we also carry out the essential maintenance that is always required for your septic system – PUMPING. Regular pumping helps to prevent solids from escaping into your drainfield and clogging the soil. Normally a properly designed septic system has enough space for 3-5 years accumulation of sludge waste. Once waste reaches this point it has less time to properly settle before leaving the tank into your leach field. This means that more solid waste will get into your leach field. As this becomes clogged liquid waste will not absorb at the rate which it enters the tank so plumbing can backup and waste will reach the surface. To avoid this unpleasant and expensive consequence of neglecting maintenance it is always a good idea to have your septic tank pumped every 3 – 5 years. If you have a garbage disposal you will need to have your septic tank pumped annually. The regularity that you have your system pumped will vary depending on various factors including the size of your septic tank and your water usage. For example a restaurant will need to have its septic pumped more regularly that a summer cottage which is only used in the warmer months. If you are unsure or have any questions please do contact our office where we will be happy to answer any questions that you have. Today we have septic pumping scheduled for property owners in Eastham, Orleans, Chatham, Brewster, Dennis and Yarmouth MA. If you need a septic pump out or if you have any questions about septic systems please do contact our Norton office on 877-378-4279 or visit https://www.septicpreservation.com

White Knight

White Knight Advantage System

White Knight Septic Preservation Services were approached by a property owner in Attleboro, MA whose leach field was failing and wanted a solution. We will restore the function of the drain field with the White Knight system.

In nature, oxygen-using (aerobic) bacteria in the soil consume non-living organic material.  This is the process nature uses to “recycle” wastes.  We install the White Knight™ Microbial Inoculator/Generator in the septic tank to create an oxygen rich environment and cultivate an extensive colony of these same soil bacteria.

The result is nearly complete consumption of the organic materials entering the septic tank.  At the same time, the bacteria are carried into the leach field where they consume the organic material that has accumulated in the underlying soil. The leach field regains and/or maintains its capacity to deliver effluent to the soil for purification.

THE WHITE KNIGHT™ ADVANTAGE INCLUDES:

  • An installation costs thousands of dollars less than that of a replacement leach field
  • Minimal disruption to existing landscape
  • Protection of the environment
  • Significantly longer tank pumping interval
  • Conservation of natural resources
  • 100% component and limited lifetime performance warranty

We have successfully used this system throughout the region from Groveland in Northern MA to Otis in Western MA to Chatham on Cape Cod.  The White Knight™ Microbial Inoculator/Generator can be used to:

  • Improve the function of marginally operating drainfields
  • Restore the function of totally failed drainfields
  • Improve the quality of effluent returning to the soil and ground water
  • Reduce the amount of nitrate moving into the environment
  • Reduce the size of a leach field required for new building construction
  • Expand the size of existing structures without expanding the leach field
