Septic Repairs and Septic Upgrades Even If It Is Wet Out!

Septic Preservation Services knows that with the coming of Spring in New England that means rain. However we can still provide septic services to our customers even when it is wet out. Today we have septic repairs and septic upgrades scheduled for customers in Mattapoisett, Marion, Westport, New Bedford, Fairhaven and Acushnet MA. We are also adding a riser to the outlet of a septic tank for a customer in Rochester MA. Adding risers, covers and filters to your septic system will improve its effectiveness. Our strong, durable risers and system covers make your septic system more accessible and also much safer and more attractive. Once installed, homeowners are able to provide easy access to the system for future septic repairs, septic upgrades or cleaning services, eliminating the need to dig and excavate the system each time it needs to be pumped. Another septic upgrade we can provide to customers is the addition of an effluent filter. Engineers, scientists and educators in the septic industry suggest that property owners install an effluent filter in the outlet tee of their septic tank to extend the life of their system. Due to the high cost associated with replacing a septic system, these seemingly small upgrades to your system can pay off in a big way. If you would be interested in septic system upgrades or if you need a septic repair please do contact our Norton office on 877-378-4279 or visit www.septicpreservation.com

If Your Property Has A Cesspool Always Use A Company That Has Cesspool Experience In Massachusetts

Septic Preservation Services are doing a cesspool replacement for a customer in Westport MA today. A cesspool is a pit which acts as both a settling chamber for solids and a leaching system for liquids. The use of cesspools may overload the capacity of the soil to remove bacteria, viruses, and phosphorus, and to nitrify ammonia and organic nitrogen compounds.  Over time, when the drainage area around the leaching pool becomes saturated, additional pools may have to be dug to handle the volume. Cesspools must be treated to avoid harmful chemicals from forming and also to empty the pool which needs to be done regularly. This makes cesspools have high maintenance costs.

In Massachusetts Title 5 does not require Cesspools to be replaced:

“only those cesspools that exhibit signs of hydraulic failure, are located extremely close to private or public water supplies, or otherwise fail to protect or pose a threat to public health, safety or the environment will need to be upgraded (310 CMR 15.303). Also, cesspools must be upgraded prior to an increase in design flow (e.g., the addition of a bedroom to a home or seats to a restaurant).” The Official Website of the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs

We provide cesspool services, pump out services and cesspool replacement if requested. We have worked with customers in Otis, Norwell, Plainfield and Groveland MA recently to either replace cesspools which was required because of Title 5 or requested for financial or environmental reasons by the property owner. We have also conducted cesspool services and pumping.

If your property has a cesspool make sure that you work with a company that has extensive experience working with cesspools in Massachusetts. If you have any questions or need to arrange an appointment please do contact our Norton office on 877-348-4279 or visit www.septicpreservation.com
